Milky Way Center Region Mosaic

This image is a 1 billion pixel RVB mosaic of the galactic center region (340 millions pixels in each R,V and B color). It shows the region spanning from Sagittarius (with the Milky Way center and M8/M20 area on the left) to Scorpius (with colorful Antares and Rho Ophiuchus region on the right) and cat paw nebula (red nebula at the bottom). This mosaic was assembled from 52 different sky fields made from 1200 individual images and 200 hours total exposure time, final image size is 24000x14000 pixels. The images were taken with a SBIG STL camera + Takahashi FSQ106Ed f/3.6 telescope and NJP160 mount from the clear skies of ESO Paranal Observatory in Chile. This mosaic is one of the three parts of the ESO Gigagalaxy Zoom project together with this incredible whole sky mosaic image by ESO/S.Brunier and this fantastic ESO mosaic image of the Lagoon nebula region.

Picture printed on Kodak Ultra Endura paper (250g/m²) with a laser exposure system LightJet from Océ. It is ideal for sharp edges and fine details in oversized photographic prints and it is extremely colour-fast. It is available in a matte or glossy finish. It is notable for its brilliant highlights, high contrasts, and outstanding durability. These prints are delivered rolled in a tube. Allow for approx. 6-9 working for delivery days after order is placed and paid.

Galactic Center Mosaic Original Photo Fuji Crystal Archive print on Aluminum Backing.
Picture exposed with precision using the renowned laser exposure system (Durst Lambda) onto the highest quality photo paper for gallery prints from Fujicolor. It is developed using a traditional photo-chemical process and fixed to solid aluminium backing (Lumabond Pro III®) using a special adhesive, which seals the print to the surface evenly. All edges are cut and smoothed with precision using a CNC cutter. For maximum stability and warp resistance, the board consists of 3 layers. To protect against sunlight the picture is laminated with a matte or glossy protective foil. This is a rigid product delivered in a rectangular packaging, it includes affixed hooks and spacer so that you can hang the picture immediately. Allow for approx. 12-18 working days for delivery after order is placed and paid.
